Rob Biddle Regional Director

I have been a member of the Desert Region of the Ferrari Club since November of 2013 when we purchased a 2012 Ferrari 458 coupe. I have been active in the region by participating in dinner meetings, tours and car shows. I am retired after working as an engineer for the County of Santa Cruz, California, Department of Public Works for 34 years. I am a past President and Treasurer of the Monterey Bay Region of the Porsche Club of America and I also just completed 7 years as National Parade Finance Manager for the PCA. I am looking forward to the opportunity of serving as your Treasurer.

After a lifetime passion for Ferraris I finally bought my first in 2015 – a 1972 365GTB/4 “Daytona.” I also have half another Ferrari since my Maserati has a Ferrari engine.

I’ve been very lucky to have had a career closely associated with automobiles having owned an advertising, marketing and PR company that had many well known automotive brands as clients.

The USA is the seventh country I’ve lived in. My very patient wife of 37 years, Linda, and I moved here in 2004. She shares my passion for cars – and travel. I’ve been to 146 countries.

I started Concours in the Hills in 2014 which this year (2016) attracted 514 cars, 67 sponsors, about 15,000 people and raised $90,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs.

I have been a Ferrari enthusiast as far back as I can remember. Though I drove mostly Porsches once I finished my medical training, I truly felt joy when I purchased my first Ferrari, a 1999 Rosso Corsa 550 Maranello in 2002. I joined the local chapter of the FCA in NY shortly thereafter and participated in many drives and socials.

I sold that car a few years later but was fortunate enough to buy a 2006 Ferrari F430 shortly after I moved here with my family in 2012. It has been an overriding pleasure being a member of the FCA Desert region since 2013. My wife and I have met many wonderful people, have made new friends, and had the privilege of recently hosting an F1 viewing brunch in our home.

I look forward to helping the board in any way I can and plan to bring some of my record keeping expertise and organizational abilities to the office of secretary.

I have been a passionate Ferrari fan and owner for more than four decades. After emigrating to the USA from the UK in 1983 I purchased my first Ferrari, a 1984 Mondial Coupe QV and have continued to enjoy Ferraris as well as other brands along the way. Joining the Desert Region chapter of the FCA in April of 2013 has opened up the opportunity to enjoy making new friends and sharing the enjoyment of all things Ferrari.

My wife Cherie and Daughter Chloe are sharing in my enthusiasm and we try to attend as many events as possible. We currently own a beautiful 1995 348 Spider and have shown her in multiple FCA and non-FCA events over the last 18 months.

As a business owner I understand the necessity to building personal and business relationships and the need to continually add clients to strengthen my company. I will use these abilities to build upon and strengthen the club’s membership. I will work, along with my wife, to drive membership, retain current memberships, and assist in welcoming and introducing new members during club events.
